The invention relates to a microinstrument for microsurgical interventions, with a handle (3) on whose front end there is fastened a small tube (2) that receives at least one traction and thrust rod (4) which actuates a microinstrument (1) fastened on the distal end of the small tube (2) and is connected at its proximal end to a traction and thrust device arranged in the handle (3) and actuable by a gripping lever (10) pivotably mounted on the handle (3). For better adjustment of the kinematics of the traction and thrust device of such a microinstrument to the force and movements required the invention proposes that the traction and thrust device have a traction and thrust piece (8) which is mounted so as to be adjustable in length in the handle and which can be exposed to a pushing movement by a pushing spring (7) and to a traction movement by a cam mechanism (9) whose cam surfaces, which slide over each other, are located on the traction and thrust piece (6) and/or on the gripping lever (10). <IMAGE>
