PURPOSE:To form on the surface of a developing roller a thin developer layer whose thickness is uniform by deforming an elastic blade around a support means arranged parallel to the center shaft of the developing roller, thereby pressing the blade to the surface of the developing roller. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive drum 4, the developing roller 5 and sponge roller 6 are connected by a prescribed gear train. When the photosensitive drum 4 is rotated in the direction shown by an arrow A by power transmitted from an image forming device, the developing roller 5 rotates in the direction shown by an arrow B, and the sponge roller 6 rotates in the direction shown by an arrow C. By the rotations, the sponge roller 6 supplies developer to the surface of the developing roller 5. The developer which has been supplied from the sponge roller 6 and supported on the surface of the developing roller 5 is made into a uniform, thin layer by the elastic blade 9 pressed to the surface of the developing roller 5, and it is supplied to the photosensitive drum 4. Thus, high print-quality free from printing irregularities is steadily obtained. |
