PURPOSE:To achieve a driving equipment for stepping motors wherein smooth drive and high speed drive are simply switchable. CONSTITUTION:A driving waveform data generator 2 has various driving waveform data in store. Supplied with a driving pulse, a synchronous counter 3 generates a plurality of higher-order address signals in synchronization with synchronizing pulses of an oscillator 6. A latch signal generator 4 generates a latch signal for each phase at the same time as the change in higher-order address. Waveform data selected from a driving waveform generator 2 is latched by each latch 5 according to the latch signals. After outputting the latch signal for each phase, the latch signal generator 4 supplies a digital-to-analog converter 6 simultaneously with latch signals for every phase, and converts the waveform data latched by the latch 5 from digital into analog. The waveform data for every phase converted from digital into analog is supplied to a motor coil 10 through a comparator gate circuit 8, and a stepping motor is thereby driven. |
