<p>Oscillator has main chamber with divergent walls on opposing sides, between which fluid jet is passed. A single inlet and outlet are used, at opposite ends of chamber. A pair of reaction channels lead from orifices on opposite sides near outlet, back to jets on opposite sides near inlet nozzle, and perpendicular to flow direction. Rapid oscillation between walls, and consequent 'scan' of outlet causes oscillatory output. Oscillator may be used for pressure, temp. or flow rate measurement or as gas chromatograph detector, due to its frequency dependence on pressure, temp., flow rate or density parameters.</p> |
