The ecological solar bioclimatic habitat is produced by a method of employing traditional materials. This method falls into the field of the building of public works and of civil engineering. This type of underground (troglodyte-type) construction benefits from natural thermal and accoustic insulation using geothermics and the increase in the intensity and duration of natural lighting which are obtained by virtue of zenithal openings (8) Fig 3 giving rise to savings in construction and energy costs. The characteristics regarding the siting of these constructions gives them a high degree of security with respect to severe atmospheric disturbances (storms, cyclones, floods, earth tremors). Through its siting, this type of ecological construction preserves the environment. <IMAGE>
