PURPOSE:To prevent an arc discharge from being generated in a deceleration switch before it is closed by providing a constitution such that a firing device is not conducted only unless the deceleration switch is confirmed in an on- condition by an ON-condition confirming means. CONSTITUTION:A current-carrying circuit 13 is provided in a control unit 1, to interpose an mechnically opening/closing deceleration switch 15, transistors 16, 17 and an air bag firing device 6 in the current-carrying circuit 13. On the other hand, a resistor 40 is connected in parallel to the deceseration switch 15, and voltage in + and - sides of the resistor 40 is detected by divider resistors 41, 42. The detected voltage is input to a microcomputer 30, and when a voltage difference between the + and - sides is in a reference value or less, the deceleration switch 15 is completely closed and judged in an on- condition. Then, the microcomputer 30 transmits current-carrying signals (a), (b) to the transistors 16, 17, so that current is carried to the air bag firing device 6 for actuation. Accordingly, no large voltage acts on the switch before closing the deceleration switch. |
