The invention relates to a neck-supporting pillow made of foam components of varying hardness, having three supporting regions lying next to one another and of approximately the same width, the central supporting region of which serves to support the user's head in the supine position and the two lateral supporting regions of which serve to support the head in the lateral position. To improve the neck support, according to the invention the following features are proposed: a) a base part consisting of a soft foam and extending over the entire pillow width; b) the base part has, in its upward-facing surface, two regions with individual recesses, the first region lying next to the front edge, extending over the entire pillow width and intersecting in the central supporting region with the second region; c) fixed to the front edge of this base part is an edge part which extends over the entire pillow width, has the same thickness as the base part and consists of harder foam; d) in the central supporting region, the said edge part has individual recesses in its upward-directed face; e) base and edge part are jointly covered by a cover running parallel to the plane supporting surface and consisting of soft foam; f) the central pillow region is of softest design because of the two recesses crossing here. |
