<p>PURPOSE:To respectively independently control recording elements of several thousand bits using a recording head driving the recording elements corresponding to one line collectively. CONSTITUTION:A large number of recording elements H are provided and the image data corresponding to one line are repeatedly transmitted to a shift register 12 over two or more times to be latched by a latch 13 and the latched image data of the shift register are collectively recorded at every transmission. When the image data are transmitted to the shift register 12, the printing and nonprinting to the respective recording elements is determined at every transmission and, in the case of printing, the image data to be transmitted are judged to be effective to be transmitted to the shift register 12 as they are and, in the case of non-printing, the image data to be transmitted are made ineffective to perform printing control at every recording element.</p> |
