PURPOSE:To obtain an ocular lens material having high oxygen permeability and mechanical strength, also excellent in resistance to contamination, suitable for contact lens, etc., consisting of a copolymer of each specific fluorodi(meth) acrylate and silicon-contg. di(meth)acrylate. CONSTITUTION:This ocular lens material consists of a copolymer produced by copolymerization between (A) a fluorodi(meth)acrylate having urethane linkage of formula I (R<1> and R<2> are each H or methyl; R<3> and R<4> are each a 5-15C alkylene; R<5> is a 1-20C alkylene containing 1-20 F atoms; (m) and (n) are each 1-5; (x) and (y) are each 0 or 1), (B) a silicon-contg. di(meth)acrylate having urethane linkage of formula II [R<6> and R<7> are each H or methyl; R<8> and R<9> are each a 1-10C alkylene or a 2-10C ether; R<10> is a siloxane skeleton of formula III ((r) is 1-50); (p) and (g) are each 1-5] and (C) a monomer having unsaturated double bond copolymerizable with the components A and B. |
