PURPOSE:To sufficiently absorb an electrolytic liquid which leaks out to the outside of a battery by closely attaching and fixing a paper wrap to the battery provided with the paper wrap on its circumference for absorption of the electrolytic liquid which leaks out of a sealing part of a battery case and a cover and for insulation between a positive and a negative poles. CONSTITUTION:A storage battery consists of a cylindrical paper wrap 8 to wrap the side face of a battery case 4 and the upper face of a cover 5 and the cylindrical paper wrap 8 is made of a rectangular sheet of paper which is sufficiently large to cover the side face of the battery case 1 and the upper face of the cover 5. The paper wraps the side face of the battery case 1 more than one turn and the upper end part of the paper extending upward over the upper face of the cover 5 is bent inward to the cover side and an adhesive 2 is applied to both right and left end parts, the tip part of the upper end except the bent part, the part bent inward to the cover side, and the lower end part. |
