PURPOSE:To provide the optical exchange circuit by using plural number of small scale square optical matrix circuits so as to form a large scale square optical matrix optical circuit having an optical frequency self-routing as a whole. CONSTITUTION:A square matrix optical circuit having input port numbers and output port numbers equal to each other is formed by arranging n-sets of square matrix optical circuits whose port number is (2n-1) at a 1st stage, arranging (2n-1) sets of square matrix optical circuits whose port number is (n) at a 2nd stage, and arranging n-sets of square matrix optical circuits whose port number is (2n-1) at a 3rd stage when plural incident lights whose optical frequencies differ are made incident from a 1st input port, and each incident light is separately outputted to a different output port and when they are made incident into a 2nd input port and each incident light is separately outputted to output ports deviated sequentially as a cyclic characteristic. |
