PURPOSE:To speedily perform the correction and confirmation of an edited document by simplifying edited document information and outputting it at high speed. CONSTITUTION:A dialogue box can select either normal print or test print and when the test print is selected, a function for totally simplifying a white- and-black/color maximum font size to be simplified and the resolution of a bit image part or the like can be instructed. A print request is processed by a dialogue manager 6, and a printer driver 8 generates a PDL file from synthetically edited image information. When a test print mode is selected, according to those instructed contents, the PDL file simplifying image information is generated, outputted to a printer 2 and successively extended at a translation part 11. The image information extended on a page memory is read out as raster images synchronously with a recording part. Thus, correction such as layout check or color scheme check can be efficiently performed. |
