MOULDINGS CONTAINING FERTILISERS

The mouldings consist uniformly of thermoplastic material and take the shape of a structured strip consisting of adjacent rod-like units (3) joined together by thinner intermediate sections (2) designed as break-off points. The mouldings are made by extruding the suitably premixed and plasticised material into an endless strip and final shaping using an embossing or stamping device. Thermoplastic starch has been found to be a particularly suitable binder.
