The invention relates to a swivel joint consisting of two joint parts which are connected to one another via bearing walls such that they can rotate and to which in each case one supporting arm of a suspension device for a controller or the like is fitted, the joint axis being aligned at right angles to the longitudinal axis of the supporting arms. The simplified assembly of the swivel joint and simple installation of cables or the like are achieved in that the joint parts each have a supporting arm mounting wall and the bearing wall at right angles to one another, which two walls are provided with a cable bushing, in that the supporting arm mounting wall and the bearing wall of one joint part are integrally connected to one another by means of side walls (which end at the free end of the supporting arm mounting wall and at the free end of the bearing wall) and, behind the supporting arm mounting wall and the bearing wall, form an installation space which is accessible via an opening, and in that the supporting arm mounting wall has mounting receptacles into which mounting screws (bolt) can be inserted on the installation space side and can be screwed into screw receptacles of the supporting arms.
