PURPOSE:To enhance use efficiency by reducing the amt. of air bubbles present in an ink cartridge to store ink in large quantities. CONSTITUTION:In an ink cartridge constituted so that an ink receiving part 6 and a negative pressure generating member receiving part 4 are made adjacent each other through a partition plate 5 and both parts are allowed to communicate with each other by the gap 8 of the partition plate 5, ink is injected in such a state that the gap 8 allowing both parts to communicate with each other is positioned at the uppermost part when looked from the ink receiving part 6. By this constitution, ink is injected while air is pushed out of the ink receiving part and, therefore, ink can be injected in such a state that air is not almost present in the ink receiving part. |
