PURPOSE:To provide a bearing device for a motor for an FDD deteriorating no read write characteristics of the FDD by simplifying structure and sufficiently ensuring the accuracy of revolution of a shaft. CONSTITUTION:A protective cap installed onto one side face of a motor, a first pivot bearing 23 movable in the direction of a shaft to the protective cap, a thrust spring 15 pushing the pivot bearing 23 in the direction of the shaft and the shaft 7, on which a rotor 6 for the motor is fixed and in which one projecting end is supported pivotally to the first pivot bearing 23 and the other projecting end is supported rotatably to a second pivot bearing 23 fastened onto a base, on which the motor is fixed, are provided. A positioning bush 17, which is fastened onto the motor and through which the shaft 7 is penetrated under a non-contact state and which is closely attached and fitted into a positioning hole bored to a plate, on which the motor is fixed, is provided.
