THERMOPLASTIC RESIN COMPOSITION

PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition excellent in appearance and permanent antistatic properties by adding a specified inorganic appearance improver to a thermoplastic resin composition comprising a styrene resin and a specified conductive polymer. CONSTITUTION:1-12 pts.wt. appearance improver comprising opaque inorganic particles having a mean particle diameter of 0.1-10mum is added to 100 pts.wt. thermoplastic resin composition comprising 70-99wt.% styrene resin and 1-30wt.% conductive polymer comprising repeating alkylene oxide units. The conductive polymer is preferably a copolymer of 1-99mol% alkylene oxide and 99-1mol% epihalohydrin. The appearance improver is desirably titanium white or antimony trioxide. Examples of the styrene resins used include polystyrene, rubber- reinforced polystyrene, an acrylonitrile/styrene copolymer and an acrylonitrile/ butadiene/styrene terpolymer.
