PURPOSE:To protect a compressor by making a start-up pattern at the start-up of a refrigerating cycling apparatus into a low-speed start-up. CONSTITUTION:For example, in the case of a cooling operation, a refrigerant of high pressure and high temperature is conducted to an outdoor heat exchanger 3 where a refrigerant gas is liquefied to discharge heat of condensation outdoor. The gas further liquefied is made into a gas-liquid two-phase refrigerant of low pressure and low temperature by a decompression device 4 to be conducted to an indoor heat exchanger 7 where the refrigerant absorbs heat from an indoor air to evaporate to be made into a gas refrigerant of low temperature and low pressure. Thus a cooling operation is performed. Then a refrigerating cycling operation is performed, in which the refrigerant is fed into a suction port 1a of a compressor 1 through a four-way valve 2. In this case, a low-speed start-up operation is performed to start up the compressor 1 while putting hours therein. Accordingly, it is possible to protect the compressor 1 against abnormal heating due to ill installation or the like.
