WALL MATERIAL HAVING STERILIZING EFFECT AND USE THEREOF

PURPOSE:To obtain a wall material having an effective sterilizing effect against pseudomonousaeruginosa and MRSA(methicillin resistant staphylococcus aureus) which are the main bacteria to cause in-hospital contamination. CONSTITUTION:The wall material having a sterilizing effect is produced by mixing a ceramic powder and a composite polymer emulsion essentially comprising acrylate copolymers in mortar. By using this wall material, pseudomonousaeruginosa and MRSA can be significantly decreased because of the high antimicrobial power of the composite polymer emulsion and ceramic powder mixed in mortar. Thus, the wall material is extremely effective to prevent in-hospital contamination.
