PURPOSE:To maintain the paper feeding faculty without deteriorating the quality of a copied image by attaching the polishing dusts on the surface of a paper feeding member which is gradually ground by a grinding member on the first holding member and removing said dusts by a removing member on the second holding member. CONSTITUTION:As for a paper feeding roller 15 which feeds out paper one by one in the cooperation with a separating roller 15, the grinding part 33 of a holding tool 32 installed onto a lever shaft 17 as center shaft and the removing brush 34 on a brush holding tool 32' contact, and each time of the revolution in the direction (e), the surface is ground little by little by a grinding member 33 and the rubber on the surface of a roller is held in the state of a new rubber. The polishing dusts produced through this grinding are advanced in the direction (e) along the surface of the paper feeding roller 15, and removed by a removing brush 14. Therefore, after several ten-thousands of paper sheets have been sent out, the initial feeding faculty can be obtained, and also the quality of the copied image can be kept in the superior state.
