PURPOSE:To reading obtain a fibrous laminated material excellent in well balanced three-point bending strength, cushioning properties, air permeability, etc., by laminating a fibrous mat to a coated surface of a fibrous carpet coated with a specific backing agent. CONSTITUTION:This method for producing a fibrous laminated material is to coat the surface of a carpet such as a tufted carpet composed of a material having 130 deg.C heat distortion temperature, e.g. wool or glass fiber with a backing coating agent, prepared by blending (A) 100 pts.wt. thermoplastic emulsion having >=130 deg.C maximum film-forming temperature (e.g. a styrenic copolymer emulsion) with (B) 3-100 pts.wt. thermoplastic resin particles having 10-500mum particle diameter and >=20 deg.C softening temperature and having <=2.5 difference in the solubility parameter between the resin in the component (A) and the resin in the component (B) and <=2X10<6> P melt viscosity at the heating temperature in the following bonding, dry the resultant coated surface, laminate a fibrous mat to the dried surface and thermally bond the fibrous mat thereto under temperature conditions of >= the softening temperature of the component (B) without deforming the component (A). Thereby, the fibrous laminated material excellent in cushioning properties and air permeability is readily obtained. |
