The spectacle lens (1) is composed of a main lens (2), provided for fitting to a spectacle frame, for a near field of view (visual field) (N) and of a considerably smaller minus lens (4) in that the latter is inserted into a recess which is formed so as to correspond to the minus lens (4). The region (F) which has the minus lens (12) forms a field of view which is intended for the far field and extends only over a relatively small part of the height of the main lens (2). Since the main lens (2) is made of plastic, the optician can produce the recess and insert the minus lens (4) so that individual shaping is possible for matching to particular application purposes and to particular aesthetical requirements. <IMAGE>
