PURPOSE: To obtain a tape for printing in which a release liner is easy to separate from a label by setting a slit of a cut part A mm and a non-cut part B mm in a longitudinal direction of the release liner of a specific thickness and setting an expression expressing a probability that both ends of the label cut from the printing tape become hard to separate to satisfy a specific % or smaller. CONSTITUTION: A tape 1 for printing is comprised of a base layer 3, an adhesive layer 4 and a release liner 5. The liner 5 has a thickness of 50μm or smaller, with one slit of a cut part 20 and a non cut part 6 provided in a longitudinal direction thereof. When the cut part has a length A mm and the non cut part has a length B mm, an expression [(B+2)/(A+B)]<2>×100 (%) expressing a probability that both ends of a label cut from the tape 1 are hard to separate satisfies 10% or smaller. That both ends of the label become hard to separate means that the non-cut part of the slit is brought to the ends or the non-cut part is shorter than 2 mm even if the non-cut part appears at either end. The probability is preferably 10% or smaller, more preferably 1% or smaller.
