A plant growth supporting body containing at least one of bactericide, antimold, insecticide and deodorant, and having a coating layer made of air-permeable, water-permeable and noncorrosive material for wrapping substantially occlusively the soil therein. This body does not allow the soil to leak out, prevents the growth of microbes and injurious insects, suppresses the soil smell to give a feeling of cleanness, improves the keeping quality of plants, and is suitable as an ornamental.
