PURPOSE:To provide a simple load conveying and shifting apparatus, with an improved running performance, which can be maintained inexpensive even when a number of temporary stations are needed for improved working efficiency by eliminating overhung load upon trucks. CONSTITUTION:The load shifting apparatus is composed of a master truck 20, an auxiliary truck 10 and a buffer station. By driving wheels 5 through a driving means A including a motor, the truck runs on a rail 1. To stop the truck 20 at the destination, a mark plate 6 is detected by a detector 7 to actuate a brake 8. Then, with the actuation of a motor 16 of the truck 20, gears 18a and 18b turn through a reduction gear 17 so as to move the truck 10 on a rail 14 placed on the truck 20 through a rack 19 mating therewith. Consequently, the truck 10 transfers to a rail 21 of the buffer station from the rail 14 and shifts a load 11 to a buffer 25 on a lifter to be operated by a cylinder 23. |
