PURPOSE:To make it possible to obtain uniform images free from uneven densities by using the developer carrying member formed with a resin film contg. flattened spherical particles. CONSTITUTION:A developing sleeve 2 is constituted by providing the surface of a sleeve base body 12 consisting of a metallic cylindrical body with a resin film 13 consisting of the flattened spherical particles 8 dispersed in a resin layer 10. A solid lubricant, such as graphite 11, and/or conducting agent may be further incorporated into the resin film 13. The flattened spherical particles have 1 to 50mum, more preferably 1 to 20mum solid average grain sizes and has 1.5 to 30 as ratio of the grain size/flattened thickness. The flattened spherical particles 8 are of the shape flattening the spherical particles and are, therefore, exposed effectively on the surface of the resin film 13 and the exposed parts come into contact with toners, by which an effect of imparting the electrostatic charge quantity adequate for development to the toners is obtd. |
