<p>PURPOSE: To enable operation with a simple structure and with high reliability by mounting a pair of tubular articles in a predetermined position on a corresponding support in cooperation with cylinders, pushing elements and position- detecting sensors provided on a carriage. CONSTITUTION: A pair of stockings 1, 1' are temporarily and irregularly attached onto respective corresponding support shapes 2, and thereafter, the carriage 4, on which the cylinders 6, the pushing elements 5 and the optical sensors 3, 3' are mounted, is moved forward to the end 20 of a shape 2 and the end of the pushing element 5 is brought into contact with the end of an elastic hem 10 of a stocking 1 and is raised so as to make detection with the optical sensor 3 easy, and then the carriage 4 is further moved forward to carry out similar operation for the other stocking 1', too. Then, the carriage 4 is moved backward and the cylinders 6 are operated to compress and hold the elastic hems 10, 10' of the stockings 1, 1' with pads 60 thereof, and thereafter, the carriage 4 is further displaced backward to pull the stockings 1, 1', and at this state the shapes 2 are closed, are tightened and are lined up, and then holding is released.</p> |
