PURPOSE:To provide a camera system which automatically controls the range of the focal distance of a zoom lens to the range of irradiation angle of a flash when marginal illumination is insufficient in flash photographing, which is excellent in operability and which can prevent an undesired photograph where the marginal illumination is insufficient. CONSTITUTION:The motor-driven zoom lens 2 can perform zooming to the section of the focal distances (a)-(b), and the irradiation angle is changed within the range of (c)-(d) as for the irradiation of the flash. When a flash photographing mode is selected and the photographing is performed, the material illumination is insufficient in a hatched part, and the section of the focal distances (a)-(c) becomes the range where the marginal illumination is insufficient. Then, the zoom lens 2 is automatically driven to the section of the focal distance (c)-(b) where the marginal illumination is not insufficient as initial action in photographing when the focal distance of the zoom lens 2 is in the section of (a)-(c). |
