PURPOSE:To save energy by performing the control of an air conditioner, which is suitable for cooling load characteristics by combining an air volume control, the performance control of a compressor, and by-pass-damper control. CONSTITUTION:Air in a room is sucked into an air conditioner 1 by a blower (1f) through an air filter, is cooled by a cooling means (1c). The air cooled by the cooling means is re-heated by a re-heating means (1d), humidified by a humidifier (1e), and blown out from the air conditioner 1 through a second sensor (1g). A control means 2 controls the air volume by calculating an air volume of the blower (1f), on the basis of a temperature difference which is calculated by a sensor (1a) and sensor (1g) and an air volume at the present time. At the same time, the control means 2 controls a cooling quantity of the cooling means (1c) on the basis of the calculated air volume. Also, the opening degree of a by-pass-damper (1b) is regulated on the basis of a humidity which is measured by the sensor (1g) provided on the air blow-out side.
