<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate the unevenness of molten metal temp. in a filter chamber and improve the filtering efficiency. CONSTITUTION:A vertical partitioning wall 4 is arranged between a molten metal charging hole 1 and the filter chamber 3, and at the lower end thereof, a flow-in hole 5 flowed to the filter 3 is formed. Molten metal of aluminum or aluminum alloy, etc., is flowed into the filter chamber 3 from the flow-in hole 5 and filtered with ceramic tube 8 group in the filter unit 7 arranged in the filter chamber 3 while heating with an upper heater 16. Base blocks 13, by which the lowermost step of the ceramic tubes 8 in the ceramic tube 8 group can be made to be almost the same height as or a little higher than the upper edge of the flow-in hole 5 are arranged on the bottom wall 14 at the lower position of an end plate at molten metal discharging side and an end plate at reverse molten metal discharging side of the filter unit 7. The filter unit 7 is arranged on the base block 13, and at the position near the filter unit 7, an impeller 17 for stirring the molten metal is arranged so as to be freely rotated.</p> |
