The invention relates to a bobbin-changing device on a high-speed winding machine (1). For short winding runs, particularly in the case of industrial threads, carpet yarns and the like having a high linear density, a fixed doffer assigned directly to each winding head (5) is proposed. This doffer consists of a bogie (6) which has at least two horizontally extending arms (8; 9) for the reception of bobbins (10) and empty tubes (3) respectively. The bogie (6) is mounted on a column (7) arranged in a pit (13) in front of the free end of the winding head (5) and is both rotatable and vertically adjustable. <IMAGE>
