A PIECE OF FURNITURE AND A METHOD OF PRODUCING A PIECE OF FURNITURE

A piece of furnitures comprises a plate (10) of a substantially rectangular configuration defining first and second orthogonal directions and being provided with a plurality of apertures. The plate (10) is of a material and of a thickness allowing that the plate (10) is bent from a substantially plane configuration to a curved configuration. The piece of furniture further comprises two reinforcing rod means (20) fixated to a first side surface of the plate (10) and extending substantially along outer edges of the plate (10) along said first direction and two locking rod means (14), each having a length substantially smaller than the width of the plate (10). The locking rod means (14) are fixated to longitudinal edges of respective shelf plates (12). The locking rod means (14) and the reinforcing rod means (20) comprise cooperating catching means for catching the locking rod means (14) in positions relative to the reinforcing rod means (20), in which positions the locking rod means (14) are locking the plate (10) in said curved configuration. A method of producing a piece of furniture is also provided.
