Device for laying overhead railway power lines

A device which is mounted on a railway wagon and has the purpose of simultaneously laying the contact wire and the supporting cable of overhead power lines with given laying tensions, with two winches for accommodating drums which supply the contact wire and the supporting cable, at least one of which drums is equipped with a capstan connected after it, and having pulling devices for the winches and the capstan for maintaining the desired pulling-off forces, is characterised in that both winches are assigned a common capstan which is constructed so as to be capable of switching over in cooperation with one or other winch, the pulling devices of the winches being capable of being switched over in order to provide full laying tension or the smaller pulling-off force required for feeding onto the capstan.
