Solution for the immersion hardening of refractory embedding compositions

There is proposed a solution for the immersion hardening (dip hardening) of refractory embedding compositions, as are used, in particular, in the production of cast dental components of metal alloys, in which organic solvents can be omitted and which leads to improved hardening of the surface compared with alternative hardening agents, which contains from 10 to 60% by weight of a monosaccharide or disaccharide or derivatives thereof, from 1 to 10% by weight of gum arabic and, if desired, further additives, with water as the remainder.
