RECONSTRUCTED HUMAN ANTIBODY AGAINST HUMAN INTERLEUKIN-6

A reconstructed antibody against human IL-6, which contains (A) an L chain comprising (1) the C region of a human L chain and (2) the V region thereof containing a human L-chain FR and an L-chain CDR of a mouse monoclonal antibody against human IL-6 and (B) an H chain comprising (1) the C region of a human H chain and (2) the V region thereof containing a human H-chain FR and an H-chain CDR of a mouse monoclonal antibody against human IL-6. This reconstructed antibody has a low antigenicity against humans, because the major part thereof originates in a human antibody and the mouse CDR has a low antigenicity. Therefore, the invention antibody inhibits information transfer by IL-6 and is prospective as a remedy for diseases caused by IL-6.
