<p>PURPOSE:To provide a new method and device for welding a lead for a cylindrical type resistor, in which the lead is welded to a resistor body at higher speed and which has simple structure and is also advantageous for maintenance. CONSTITUTION:A lead 6 is forwarded until it is abutted against the terminal cap 3 of a resistor body 4 held at a specified position, the lead 6 is held by a welding chuck 11a, and welding currents are made to flow between the terminal cap 3 and the welding chuck 11a while pushing force toward the resistor body is applied to the welding chuck 11a or a welding head 10 holding the welding chuck.</p> |
