The invention relates to a motor vehicle and to a method of manufacturing this motor vehicle. The motor vehicle has a load-bearing frame with a support part which is arranged thereon and on which, in turn, additional assemblies together with their connecting lines are preassembled. To simplify assembly or repair, in the region of the wheel arch the frame has an opening in which the support part is mounted. After the support part equipped with the additional assemblies has been attached and the connecting lines connected or laid, the opening is later closed by a cover plate which can be attached on the outside, i.e. after the frame has been painted.
