The reflecting laminar bodies according to the process are obtained from a flexible support which may be made from textile material, non-woven fibres, polyester, paper, plastic, etc., by applying on said support a homogeneous mass with a viscosity of 25 000 to 35 000 centipoises and obtained by means of the metered mixing of polyvinyl chloride, polyurethane, neoprene or the like, with pearlized metallic pigments and reflecting glass microspheres with a diameter between 10 and 45 microns, adding the relevant binding additives, passing the whole at slow speed through a drying tunnel in order, finally, to carry out hydrofugation with silicone or a similar material. The reflecting laminar bodies obtained may be used to make safety clothing, for application to signing panels, on rescue craft, etc., being perfectly identifiable in the dark when a light beam falls on them.
