PURPOSE:To provide the document preparing device and display control method for which desired information can be easily and speedily displayed even after the end of retrieval and operability is improved. CONSTITUTION:When a 'retrieval' key 44d is pushed down, a central control processing part 10 sets a system to retrieval mode setting by referring to a character string retrieval control information storage area 20d of a ROM 20. In this retrieval mode, a designated page is outputted and displayed on a display part 54 by referring to a retrieval completion time display page information storage area 30f of a RAM 30 at the time of retrieval completion. |
