摘要 The invention relates to a process for production of a printing plate by an electrophotographic process, which comprises the formation, by an electrophotographic process, of a toner image on a transfer layer which can be removed during a chemical reaction treatment and is provided on the surface of a photosensitive electrophotographic element, heat transfer from the toner image together with the transfer layer to a receiving material having a surface which can, at the time of printing, provide a hydrophilic surface which is suitable for planographic printing, and removal of the transfer layer on the receiving material during the chemical reaction treatment, where the transfer layer comprises principally a thermoplastic resin (AH) having a glass transition temperature of from 10 DEG C to 140 DEG C or a softening point of from 35 DEG C to 180 DEG C, and a thermoplastic resin (AL) having a glass transition temperature of from -50 DEG C to 45 DEG C or a softening point of from 0 DEG C to 60 DEG C, and where the difference between the glass transition temperatures or the softening points of the resin (AH) and the resin (AL) is at least 2 DEG C and the surface of the photosensitive electrophotographic element in contact with the transfer layer has an adhesive strength of not more than 200 p, measured in accordance with JIS Z 0237-1980.
