Process for providing a hermetic seal to the pouring spout of a container that can be assembled, of the type known by the name "tetra-pak", which consists in arranging, on the inner surface of the walls defining the pouring spout, a transverse closure of the type composed of two facing elongate elements, one with a male profile and the other with a female profile, which can be coupled by pressure and can be separated by pulling. The two elements are fixed in the zone of the template which will define the walls of the pouring spout, prior to making up the container, one of these elements being cut transversely into two identical portions so that when said elements are fixed on the template they define a C contour, with right angles, the lateral branches of which are half the length of the central branch, and they will remain aligned with one another and facing said central branch when the container is assembled. <IMAGE>
