PURPOSE: To realize wide range speed change ratios through a simple structure by bearing a pinion only at one position on the opposite side to a gear and employing a hollow shaft pinion. CONSTITUTION: A drive side pinion and a driven side gear 6 in the form of a spur wheel are born in a transmission case 3. A pinion 4 is formed as a hollow pinion and held in the axial direction by means of bearings 14 with supporting discs 21, 21a being inserted. The shaft 23 of a motor 24 is inserted into the pinion 4 and bonded by a bonding means to connect the shape. The shaft 23 is born only on the opposite side to a transmission without using additional bearing. This structure realizes a compact orthogonal transmission in which a work can be carried out while shifting the axes of the gear and the pinion significantly.
