PURPOSE:To enable an accurate and high-sensitivity measurement even when an analyzation target is in a very small amount by measuring optical characteristics of a first reaction solution to obtain the concentration of a first component contained in a sample. CONSTITUTION:A sample, a first and a second reagent are dispensed into a specific reaction vessel 34 by a nozzle 43 to proceed reaction. A light flux 12 passes through the vessel 34 on a reaction turntable 2 during its rotation. At this time, photoabsorption measurement is made by a spectroscope 10 with the result that a signal value is outputted from the spectroscope 10. This signal value causes the signal of a necessary measurement wavelength to be selected by a multiplexer 60 to obtain a concentration of the first component. This concentration signal is latched into a controller C and compared with the reference value to decide whether or not the second component should be analyzed. Next, in the case where the second component is analyzed, a test solution containing educts is inhaled by the nozzle 43 and discharged into a sheath flow cell 47, where free particles in it are counted to determine a concentration of the second component. |
