<p>PURPOSE:To provide the inexpensive position input device which can detect the direction and strength of a force as to a position input device used in information processing equipment such as a personal computer. CONSTITUTION:Two upper and lower films 9 and 12 are arranged having surfaces opposite each other; and four independent electrodes 1-4 which are arranged in four directions are provided on one film 9, and one common electrode 10 is provided on the other film 12 so as to face all the four electrodes 1-4. Then the device has pressure sensitive rubber materials 13a-13d as pressure sensing elements which are arranged between the independent electrodes 1-4 and the common electrode 10 and vary in resistance value with thickness- directional pressure between the electrodes and common electrode, a pressure plate 14, provided with projection parts for pressing the pressure sensitive rubber materials 13a-13d arranged on the film in four directions, in the four directions, and an operation lever 15 which presses the pressure plate 14 provided on the pressure plate 14 in an oscillatory state.</p> |
