发明名称 INTERFACE FOR CONNECTING OPTICAL FIBER TO ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT
摘要 PURPOSE: To provide an optical interface with which an optical fiber and an electronic circuit can be easily connected and disconnected. CONSTITUTION: The optical interface is provided with a board 11 for which a light waveguide 15 is formed, a conductor is further molded (overmolded) and a keyway 20 is formed inside. The terminal part of the fiber is exposed by a keyway fitting part 22 formed around the terminal part of plural optical fibers 26. In the state of engaging the keyway fitting part with the keyway, an opening 25 inside a surface 24 of the keyway communicates light from a semiconductor element on the board or from the fibers through the light waveguide to the semiconductor element. The keyway exactly matches the fitting part and matches the terminal part of fibers with the opening, namely, with the light waveguide. Then, light from the terminal part or mid-point of the waveguide is communicated by using diffraction grating.
