PURPOSE:To obtain the resin which can provide a molding excellent in strengths and workability and reduced in the formation of gases during the molding by melt-extruding a polyarylene sulfide resin with a specified extruder under specified conditions. CONSTITUTION:A polyarylene sulfide resin (e.g. a resin containing water and an oligomer and obtained from p-dichlorobenzene and sodium sulfide by a specified process) is melt-extruded by using a twin-screw extruder provided with a gas supply port and a vent port while supplying a gas to remove the water and the oligomer from the vent port. An inert gas (e.g. nitrogen) is supplied to the resin crosslinked by supplying preferably an oxygeneous gas (e.g. air) to obtain an uncrosslinked resin. |
