<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a recording and reproducing device capable of eliminating a part other than a prescribed broadcast content such as a commercial message when a text television signal is recorded. CONSTITUTION:This device is equipped with a text television signal processing circuit 5h which discriminates the text television signal of television broadcast, a signal recording circuit 6 which records the television signal on a recording medium continuously, and a timer means which sets recording time. Also, it is equipped with a means 13 which controls the turning on/off of a recording operation based on the discrimination information of the text television signal in set time.</p> |
