PURPOSE:To improve the symmetry of the up, down, right and left of an image pattern by distributing the distortion of an image generated by magnification/ reduction. CONSTITUTION:A reduction source character font pattern 31 is divided into four patterns A, B, C and D from the center E to up, down, right and lefts and tour kinds of different conversion rules are applied to the respective divided patterns A, B, C and D. The conversion rules are provided with the mutually different conversion rules and the conversion rules are respectively allocated to the four up, down, right and left divided patterns A, B, C and D so as to be symmetrical looking from a center position. Then, the respective up, down, right and left divided patterns A, B, C and D are reduced corresponding to the conversion rules allocated to the divided patterns. Thus, the distortion of the image generated by the reduction can be distributed from the center of the image pattern to an outside and up, down, right and left can be symmetrically reduced. |
