The invention relates to a cutter mount for a cutter blade, in particular for arranging a cross-cutting edge on a punching tool or the like. The cutter mount comprises a basic body which exhibits a front receiving means which is open to the cutting plane and is intended for a rear cutter part of the cutter blade. The receiving means is bounded by two legs, one leg exhibiting a through-passage bore located transversely with respect to the receiving means, and the other leg exhibiting a threaded bore which is located transversely with respect to the receiving means and into which there is screwed a clamping screw which projects through the through-passage bore of one leg. In order to achieve a high clamping force, provision is made for forming one leg as a separate component of the cutter mount, which is retained on the basic body by the clamping screw.
