PURPOSE:To provide active carbon narrow in particle side distribution even without classification, and having a high CEC value, and to provide a method for producing the same. CONSTITUTION:A method for producing active carbon comprises burning waste tires containing metal wires in the presence of oxygen and in the presence of CO2 and steam at 400-900 deg.C, adding a fuel to the generated combustible gas, again heating the combustible gas at 800-900 deg.C exchanging the heat of the heated exhausted gas with a water-tube boiler, guiding the exhausted gas of 180-250 deg.C into an electrostatic precipitation, and recovering the produced active carbon, thus providing the active carbon having a narrow particle size distribution of 90-110 mesh and a CEC (base substitution capacity) of 30-40. |
